Andre remembered his last conversation with Craig concerning Lanassa. “Lanassa is a user, Dre,” Craig had said. “Can’t you see through her? How Blind can you be when it comes to this woman? She left you almost insane.” As Andre walked off the airplane and crossed the field to the terminal, his heart started to pound. He was feeling like a junkie who was about to get his fix. Yes, he had it bad for this woman. She would be waiting for him at gate four. Andre couldn’t wait to feast his eyes on her. But when he entered the gate, he didn’t see her. He entered the building and walked toward the claims area and waited to claim his luggage, but still didn’t see her anywhere. Then, as he turned around, his panic was replaced by a warm sensation spreading throughout his body–there Lanassa stood, staring at him with a smile that could make a man drop to his knees.
